Bassoon Concertos is a compilation of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart's works for bassoon, centred on the principal concerto composed in 1774. These works are rooted in the Classical style, characterised by transparent textures, balanced orchestration and lyrical melodies that give the solo bassoon opportunities for technical display and expressive phrasing, and they occupy an important place in the solo bassoon repertoire and in Mozart's early instrumental output.
