Die vier Jahreszeiten

Album by Antonio Vivaldi & Roland Straumer & Virtuosi Saxoniae & Ludwig Güttler

Die vier Jahreszeiten (The Four Seasons) is a set of four violin concertos by Italian Baroque composer Antonio Vivaldi, published in 1725. The concertos exemplify Baroque programme music, featuring virtuosic solo violin writing and vivid orchestral depictions of seasonal scenes through rhythmic motifs and harmonic devices, and they represent a key example of Vivaldi's contribution to the solo concerto genre.
