Má Vlast
Album by Bedřich Smetana & Česká filharmonie & Jiří Bělohlávek
Má Vlast is a cycle of six symphonic poems by Czech composer Bedřich Smetana, composed between 1874 and 1879. Blending richly orchestrated programme writing with folk-influenced melodies and evocative orchestral textures, the cycle exemplifies Smetana's nationalist musical language and occupies a central place in his late output and in Czech concert repertoire.
