Symphony no. 8
Album by Gustav Mahler & Государственный академический симфонический оркестр России
Symphony No. 8 is the eighth symphony by Austrian composer Gustav Mahler, completed in 1906 and premiered in Munich in 1910. Scored for very large forces including multiple choirs and a large orchestra, it blends late-Romantic orchestration with choral and symphonic forms and occupies a pivotal place in Mahler's late output for its monumental scale and experimental approach to symphonic structure.
