Symphony No. 9 is the ninth symphony by Austrian composer Anton Bruckner, composed between 1893 and 1896 and left unfinished at his death in 1896. The work is a late-Romantic symphony characterised by expansive orchestration, dense chromatic harmony and broad contrapuntal architecture, and it stands as Bruckner's final symphonic statement representing the culmination of his symphonic development despite its incomplete finale.
