Symphony no. 9
Album by Anton Bruckner & London Symphony Orchestra & Sir Colin Davis
Symphony No. 9 is the ninth symphony by Austrian composer Anton Bruckner, composed in 1896. Left incomplete at his death, the work exemplifies late-Romantic orchestral writing with dense, organ-like brass chorales, expansive harmonic progressions and large-scale structural processes, and it occupies a key position as Bruckner's final major orchestral statement.
