VOYAGER [I–X]

as i look up towards the sky

wonder, no longer, if i’ll ever fly

prepped and ready for the journey ahead

into the unknown – that vast, dark land

i ready myself, my gear, my ship. time to go now on this final trip

leaving with everything – left nothing behind

just me, and, absolutely, my strongest mind

go for launch – i’m ready – green light

time to set-off – time for me to take flight

head out to another place

a place in the distance – a new pace

a place of light all around

no words and absolutely no sound

only space, and space between

me and only me to glean

i ascend! on this search to find answers to everything – what lies beyond

regardless of what i find out here

it’s so far away from what i died to find down there

taking on whatever path lies ahead

venturing into this vast and grand unread

pushing and pressing-on, further i go. deeper and deeper – moving onward – i grow

the space that i wanted – the space out here

past the sky, beyond the air

the space that i needed – the space that i

required in order to survive

on this mission that started with why

now no need to plan – nothing charted – just fly

i feel nothing

weight melted off

i shoot across the sphere

faster than anything

trails behind me

are so bright

and shining

my obsession is sick

it knows no bounds

and when i reach the light

its bright all around

it never loses focus

it shoots right through my targets

don’t even see the line anymore, it’s all a blur – like i’ve restarted

my fixation to explore is utterly critical

to this mission for higher calling, i’m calling on the plentiful

and useless mistakes that kept me from my plans

compulsive space in my head – over and over again

i’m fixed on my journey – time passes by

like a thing that isn’t even a thing, until it’s gone – in this way-up-high

fully submerged, and after time. like that season descended down, this time is now all mine

to explore in this new space and new matter. to capture and take what i am after

the vastness of the deeps – as dark as my sleeps

these wide-open questions, i wind up and leap

waves of static, sound from afar

i’ll find that signal out there, no matter the distance

that unsympathetic cold of the dark. blistering heat of the sun – i’ve come so very far

it’s what was in the sky that day

that had me thinking that way

had me thinking that i must fly

thinking i am destoned for the beyond – to question why

there’s something about finding infinity

finding such strength so deep within me

for as long i can remember, i always questioned

everything. i knew i was destoned

to reach so far past any idea of promise

beyond bliss – beyond beauty – so far beyond a conscious

i close my eyes. i dream of tomorrow

i’ll live it when it comes – void of sorrow
