Piano Quintet “Trout” / Adagio and Rondo Concertante, D. 487 are chamber works by Austrian composer Franz Schubert, composed in 1819 and 1816 respectively. They combine Classical structural clarity with early Romantic lyricism, featuring prominent piano writing and close interplay with the string parts, using variation-based and episodic forms, tuneful melodies and contrasting textures that mark their place in Schubert's chamber-music output.
