Symphony No. 9 in C major is the ninth symphony by Austrian composer Franz Schubert, completed in 1825–1828. The work is a large-scale Classical-Romantic orchestral composition characterised by expansive themes, rich orchestration and broad structural sweeps, and it occupies a pivotal place in Schubert's late output as a bridge between Classical forms and emerging Romantic expression.
