Uptown Ruler: Soul Gestures in Southern Blue, Volume 2 is a studio album by American trumpeter Wynton Marsalis, released in 1991. The album continues Marsalis's exploration of blues-inflected jazz through composed suites that blend hard bop, modal harmony and big-band dynamics, and it forms the middle part of a three-volume project that situates his work within a lineage of African American musical traditions in the late 20th century.
