This release is a compilation of orchestral works by Igor Stravinsky, composed between 1910 and 1934. Spanning Stravinsky's early to mid-career, the pieces encompass ballet and vocal-orchestral idioms and are characterised by vivid orchestration, sharp rhythmic innovation and a move from late-Romantic colour towards primitivist and modernist techniques that shaped much of twentieth-century music.
