Kinderszenen, op.15 / Kreisleriana, op.16 / Fantasie in C major, op.17
Album by Robert Schumann & Annie Fischer
Kinderszenen, Op.15; Kreisleriana, Op.16; and Fantasie in C major, Op.17 are solo piano works by Robert Schumann composed in the late 1830s (primarily 1836–1838). The pieces exemplify Romantic piano literature with lyrical miniatures, dramatic contrasts and both virtuosic and introspective writing, and they represent a pivotal phase in Schumann's career as he developed his character-piece approach and expanded the expressive scope of the piano.
