Symphony No. 9
Album by Anton Bruckner & Berliner Philharmoniker & Daniel Barenboim
Symphony No. 9 is the final symphony by Austrian composer Anton Bruckner, left unfinished at his death in 1896. A late-Romantic, large-scale orchestral work, it is characterised by dense, organ-like textures, expansive harmonic language and long, arching structures, and it represents the culmination of Bruckner's symphonic output within the Austro-German tradition.
