Ballades & Scherzos
Album by Fryderyk Chopin & Cyprien Katsaris
Ballades and Scherzos is a collection of solo piano works by Polish composer Frédéric Chopin, composed and published between 1831 and 1844. Representative of the Romantic era, these pieces juxtapose lyrical, narrative-driven ballad forms with virtuosic, turbulent scherzos and played a significant role in advancing the expressive and technical scope of the solo piano repertoire during Chopin's mature career.
