The Five Piano Concertos
Album by Ludwig van Beethoven & Steven Lubin & Academy of Ancient Music & Christopher Hogwood
The Five Piano Concertos is a set of five piano concertos by Ludwig van Beethoven, composed between 1795 and 1811. They span Beethoven's early to middle compositional periods, moving from Classical forms rooted in the traditions of Mozart and Haydn to works that expand orchestral textures, increase the technical demands on the soloist and introduce greater structural and expressive breadth in concerto writing.
