Glagolská mše
Album by Leoš Janáček & Pražský filharmonický sbor & Josef Veselka & Česká filharmonie & Karel Ančerl
Glagolská mše is a choral mass by Czech composer Leoš Janáček, completed in 1926. The piece is a large-scale choral and orchestral setting of a Slavonic liturgical text that features Janáček's vivid orchestration, rhythmic drive, modal harmonies and incorporation of folk-inflected melodic material, and it occupies a late-period place in his output that exemplifies his mature compositional voice.
