String Quartets
Album by Claude Debussy & Maurice Ravel & Alban Berg Quartett
The String Quartet in G minor is the only string quartet by French composer Claude Debussy, composed in 1893. The work employs innovative harmonic language, cyclic thematic links and colouristic string textures that point towards Debussy's emerging impressionistic style and represent an important step in his development and in late 19th-century chamber music.
