Symphony No. 8 is a symphony by Gustav Mahler, completed in 1906. Scored for very large orchestral and choral forces, it fuses late-Romantic harmonic language with expansive, dramatic textures and large-scale vocal-symphonic writing, and occupies a distinctive place among Mahler's late works for its monumental scale and integration of vocal and symphonic elements.
