“Closeness” Duets

Closeness is an album of duets by American jazz bassist Charlie Haden, released in 1976. The music is intimate and acoustic, rooted in jazz with an emphasis on melodic bass lines and close musical conversation with single partners, and it came during Haden's mid-1970s focus on duets and small-group formats following his early free jazz work.
