The Time Is Now! is a studio album by American jazz trombonist Phil Ranelin, released in 1974. Musically it combines modal jazz, post-bop and free-jazz textures with roomy trombone lines, muted brass and funk-influenced rhythms, and it came during Ranelin's period in the Detroit jazz co-operative when he explored socially conscious and experimental approaches.
