Brandenburgische Konzerte 1-3-4
Album by Johann Sebastian Bach & Amsterdam Baroque Orchestra & Ton Koopman
Brandenburgische Konzerte 1–3–4 are three of the instrumental concertos from Johann Sebastian Bach's Brandenburg Concertos, compiled and presented in 1721. They exemplify Baroque concerto grosso practice through contrasting groups of soloists and ensemble, energetic ritornello structures, virtuosic figurations and dense contrapuntal writing, and they occupy a key position in Bach's instrumental output and in the Baroque orchestral repertoire.
