Sonatas for Cello and Piano

Album by Ludwig van Beethoven & Dmitri Dmitrievich Shostakovich & Jeajoon Ryu & YeonSun Joo & Marek Szlezer

Sonatas for Cello and Piano are a set of five sonatas by Ludwig van Beethoven, composed between 1796 and 1815. They traverse Beethoven's early, middle and late periods, combining Classical forms with increasing harmonic complexity and a greater equality between cello and piano that helped redefine the cello's role in chamber music.
