Symphony No. 4 (Tansman Episodes) is the fourth symphony by Polish composer Henryk Górecki, completed in 1993. Musically it moves away from the spare, vocal-led approach of his third symphony and it uses larger orchestral forces and a denser harmonic language with episodic forms that engage with late 20th-century modernism, and it was one of his late large-scale instrumental works.
