The Mystery of Heaven is an album by Dutch lute composer Jozef van Wissem, released in 2012. Built around minimalist, lute-based compositions that draw on baroque and medieval influences, it blends repeated motifs, droning textures and sparse arrangements to create a contemporary neo-classical and experimental ambient sound and represents a continuation of van Wissem's exploration of modernising the lute within avant-garde contexts.
