The 3 Symphonies
Album by Alexander Porfyrevich Borodin & Orchestra sinfonica di Roma della RAI & José Serebrier
The Three Symphonies are a set of orchestral works by Russian composer Alexander Borodin, composed between 1862 and 1889. They exemplify Russian Romantic orchestral writing, combining sweeping lyricism, rich orchestration and folk-influenced modal harmonies, and they constitute Borodin's principal contribution to the symphonic repertoire, with the third symphony completed posthumously.
