Album by Heitor Villa‐Lobos & Gisèle Ben-Dor & Santa Barbara Symphony
Symphony No. 10 "Amerindia" is the tenth symphony by Brazilian composer Heitor Villa-Lobos, completed in 1952. The work blends orchestral modernism with elements drawn from Brazilian indigenous and folk music, featuring rhythmic drive, modal melodies and colourful orchestration, and represents a late-period engagement with nationalistic themes in Villa-Lobos's output.
