Orgelsonate in c-moll
Album by Julius Reubke & Roman Krasnovsky
Orgelsonate in c-moll is an organ sonata by Julius Reubke, composed in 1857-1858. The sonata is a Romantic organ work in C minor that is built on a large-scale sonata structure, uses bold chromatic harmony, virtuosic pedal writing, dense textures and wide dynamic contrasts, and it was one of the final works of Reubke's brief career and is frequently performed in the nineteenth-century organ repertory.
