Piano Trios, op. 65 & 90 “Dumky”
Album by Antonín Dvořák & Busch Trio
Piano Trios, Op. 65 and Op. 90 ('Dumky') are two piano trios by Czech composer Antonín Dvořák, composed in 1883 and 1890-1891 respectively. They exemplify late-Romantic chamber music with warm, folk-influenced melodies, shifting rhythms and contrasts of intimate lyricism and dramatic intensity, and they come from a mature phase in Dvořák's output in which he increasingly fused Czech folk elements with larger-scale chamber forms.
