Symphonie No. 6 is the sixth symphony by Austrian composer Anton Bruckner, completed in 1881. It is a large-scale Romantic symphony in A major that emphasises contrapuntal textures, compact thematic development and shifting tonal relationships, and it occupies a transitional position in Bruckner's oeuvre between his middle-period works and the more expansive late symphonies.
