Symphony in C minor, Op. 11 is the only completed symphony by Norwegian composer Edvard Grieg, composed in 1864. The work combines Romantic orchestral writing with Nordic folk-influenced modal melodies and rich harmonic colour, and it represents an early attempt by Grieg to engage with large-scale symphonic form before he concentrated mainly on piano and vocal miniatures.
