Album by Anton Bruckner & Rundfunk‐Sinfonieorchester Saarbrücken & Hiroshi Wakasugi
Symphony No. 2 is a symphony by Austrian composer Anton Bruckner, composed in 1872. The work is a late-Romantic orchestral composition characterised by expansive structures, prominent brass writing, shifting harmonic language and contrapuntal textures, and it occupies an early position in Bruckner's mature symphonic output, foreshadowing techniques he developed in later symphonies.
