Piano Concertos Nos. 26 "Coronation" & 27
Album by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart & Robert Casadesus & Columbia Symphony Orchestra & George Szell
Piano Concertos Nos. 26 and 27 are compositions by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, composed in 1788 and 1791 respectively. They exemplify the mature Classical style, pairing lyrical and virtuosic piano writing with transparent orchestral textures and clear formal structures, and occupy a late position in Mozart's output where his concerto writing becomes more intimate and harmonically subtle.
