Symphonies nos. 40 & 41
Album by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart & Camerata Salzburg & Sándor Végh
Symphonies Nos. 40 and 41 are orchestral works by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, composed in 1788. They exemplify his mature Classical style, combining concise thematic development, vivid orchestral colour and contrapuntal complexity, and as two of the last symphonies he composed they reflect the culmination of his symphonic technique in his late career.
