The Tale of the Stone Flower is the eighth and final ballet by Russian composer Sergei Prokofiev, completed between 1948 and 1953. This ballet integrates traditional Russian folk melodies and classical ballet forms to narrate the Ural folk tale of a stonecutter's quest for artistic perfection.
