Symphonie no. 6 en si mineur, opus 74, « Pathétique »

Symphony No. 6 in B minor, Op. 74, 'Pathétique' is a symphony by Russian composer Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, completed and premiered in 1893. The work exemplifies late-Romantic orchestration with expansive, emotive melodies, dramatic contrasts of mood and an unusually slow, sombre final movement, and as Tchaikovsky's last completed symphony it occupies a central place in his late output and in the symphonic repertoire of the late Romantic era.
