Ballades, Op. 10 is a set of four piano pieces by composer Johannes Brahms, composed in 1854. They are Romantic-era piano works characterised by dramatic contrasts, lyrical melodies and complex harmonic language, and they occupy an early and important place in Brahms's career as demonstrations of his developing mature style.
