Symphony in F minor 'Study Symphony'

Album by Anton Bruckner & Bruckner Orchester Linz & Markus Poschner

The Symphony in F minor, known as the 'Study Symphony', is an orchestral study by Austrian composer Anton Bruckner, composed in 1863. The work features early manifestations of Bruckner's late-Romantic harmonic language, broad orchestral textures and prominent brass writing, and it occupies a preparatory place in his output as a formative exercise that anticipates structural ideas and sonorities of his later symphonies.
