Symphony no. 8 In C Minor

Album by Anton Bruckner & Orchestre de la Suisse Romande & Marek Janowski

Symphony No. 8 in C minor is the eighth symphony by Austrian composer Anton Bruckner, completed in 1887 and revised in 1890. The work is a late-Romantic orchestral symphony characterised by expansive structures, dense brass and string textures and dramatic contrasts between contemplative slow passages and powerful climaxes, representing a key example of Bruckner's late style and occupying an important position in the evolution of large-scale symphonic composition.
