Le Martyre de Saint Sébastien is an incidental music score composed by Claude Debussy in 1911 for a five-act theatrical production. The music blends Debussy's late Impressionist harmonic language with sombre, modal textures and rich orchestral colour to evoke the sacred-dramatic subject, and it occupies a distinctive place among his later explorations of theatrical and liturgical sonorities in early 20th-century French music.
