String Quintets

Album by Luigi Boccherini & Petersen Quartett

String Quintets is a collection of chamber works by Luigi Boccherini, composed in the late 18th century. They are scored for two violins, a viola and two cellos, favouring the lower register, and combine classical forms with lyrical melodies and dance rhythms, forming a central part of Boccherini's chamber output and showing his preference for cello-rich textures.
