Twelve Symphonic Poems

Album by Franz Liszt & Leslie Howard & Mattia Ometto

Twelve Symphonic Poems is a cycle of orchestral works by Hungarian composer Franz Liszt, composed between 1848 and 1885. Musically the pieces use broad orchestral colours and thematic transformation, and the cycle forms part of Liszt's later output that helped establish the symphonic poem as a single-movement orchestral form in the 19th century.
