The Lord of the Rings, Symphony No. 1 is a symphony for concert band by Dutch composer Johan de Meij, composed in 1988. The five-movement work combines programme-style Romantic harmonies and orchestral colour adapted for wind ensemble, drawing on fantasy-inspired themes and marking a significant addition to contemporary wind-band repertoire and to de Meij's early output.
