Symphonie no. 5

Symphony No. 5 in C minor, Op. 67 is a symphony by Ludwig van Beethoven, completed and first performed in 1808. The work is notable for its pervasive four-note rhythmic motif, dramatic contrasts, expanded orchestration and rigorous developmental processes, and it occupies a pivotal place in Beethoven's middle period where he pushed the boundaries of classical symphonic form and influenced later composers.
