On Broadway, Volume 1 is an album by American jazz drummer Paul Motian, released in 1989. It is a jazz record that reworks standard popular songs into sparse, lyrical arrangements that place guitar, saxophone and drums in close, understated roles, and it began a series in which Motian returned to this repertoire later in his career.
