The Four Scherzi
Album by Fryderyk Chopin & Nikolai Demidenko
The Four Scherzi is a collection of four piano pieces by Polish composer Frédéric Chopin, composed between 1831 and 1842. These Romantic-era solo piano works feature virtuosic passages, dramatic contrasts and lyrical melodies, and mark significant developments in Chopin's mature style and in the nineteenth-century piano repertoire.
First released: October 1991
