Symphonies nos. 32, 35 "Haffner" and 36 "Linzer"

Album by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart & English Baroque Soloists & Sir John Eliot Gardiner

Symphonies nos. 32, 35 and 36 are orchestral works by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, composed in 1779, 1782 and 1783 respectively. Rooted in the Classical style, they showcase transparent string and woodwind textures, conventional sonata forms and growing orchestral colour, and together they trace Mozart's development from his mid‑career craftsmanship to the more expansive symphonic techniques he employed shortly thereafter.
First released: 26th September 1989
