Finlandia
Album by Jean Sibelius
Finlandia is a symphonic poem by Finnish composer Jean Sibelius, composed in 1899 and revised in 1900. The orchestral work is characterised by dramatic, windswept textures, bold brass and sweeping string writing that culminates in a hymn-like central section, and it occupies an important place in Sibelius's early output and in the development of Finnish national music.
