The Composer of Black Orpheus Plays and Sings Bossa Nova is a studio album by Brazilian guitarist and composer Luiz Bonfá, released in 1962. It has bossa nova arrangements centred on nylon-string guitar and subdued vocal delivery, with rhythms drawn from samba and harmony influenced by jazz, and it followed Bonfá's work on the Black Orpheus soundtrack when bossa nova began to attract international attention in the early 1960s.
