Symphonie Nr. 4
Album by Gustav Mahler & Deutsches Symphonie‐Orchester Berlin & Lorin Maazel & Heather Harper
Symphony No. 4 in G major is the fourth symphony by Austrian composer Gustav Mahler, completed in 1900. The work is scored for orchestra with a comparatively lighter, more transparent orchestration than some of his earlier large-scale symphonies and blends late-Romantic orchestral writing with a final movement for soprano that sets a poetic text, reflecting a move toward more concise form and childlike imagery within his output.
