Symphonie nr. 8
Album by Antonín Dvořák & Chicago Symphony Orchestra & Carlo Maria Giulini
Symphony No. 8 in G major is the eighth symphony by Czech composer Antonín Dvořák, composed in 1889. The work exemplifies the late-Romantic orchestral tradition with warm, folk-inflected melodies, buoyant rhythms and transparent orchestration, and it occupies an important place in Dvořák's output as a work that consolidates his incorporation of Bohemian folk elements into large-scale symphonic form.
